Who we are

Watch Fixers provides independent watch repair and servicing. For privacy enquiries contact info@watchfixers.co.uk or write to Unit 10 Aerodrome Way, Hounslow, TW5 9QB.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, watch details, repair instructions, photographs you upload, repair history, quotations, payment and transaction records, Royal Mail tracking information, communications with us, IP/security information and technical website data.

Why we use it

We use personal information to create and manage repair orders, identify and assess watches, provide quotations, arrange tracked postage, communicate status updates, return watches, prevent fraud, maintain workshop and accounting records, handle complaints, protect our systems and comply with legal obligations.

Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, record keeping and improving our service. Where consent is legally required, including for certain non-essential cookies or marketing, we ask for it separately.

Who we share data with

We may share the minimum necessary information with postal and courier providers such as Royal Mail, hosting and database providers, email providers, payment providers, IT/security suppliers, professional advisers, repair specialists where needed for the job, insurers and public authorities where legally required. We do not sell customer personal data.

Watch photographs and workshop records

Photographs may include serial numbers, movement details, condition and packaging. We use them for identification, diagnosis, quality control, security, repair records and dispute resolution.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including warranty administration, accounting, tax, legal claims, fraud prevention and service history. Different records may have different retention periods.

Security

We use access controls and technical and organisational measures designed to protect repair records and uploaded photographs. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but access to customer repair information is restricted to authorised operational use.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are not intended to be activated unless you make the relevant choice through our consent controls.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office where applicable.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our systems, providers, services or legal requirements. The current version will be published on this page.
